We’re All Alone is the thirteenth single by the Walker Brothers. “Outside the rain begins,” the lyrics begin, “and it may never end/So cry no more/On the shore of dreams”.

It was the group’s second cover of a song released by Frankie Valli as a single, the first being The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore a decade earlier. Rita Coolidge also recorded a version after the Walker Brothers, which became a top-10 hit in the UK and the US in 1977. Its original release was by its writer, American singer-songwriter Boz Scaggs, as the B-side to his 1976 UK and US top 20 hit, Lido Shuffle.

We’re All Alone’s B-side, Have You Seen My Baby, was by Randy Newman, a writer the group had covered often throughout their career.

The single did not chart in the UK, but was a minor hit in the Netherlands, reaching no. 22.
